“summers growing up as a kid, my parents would make homemade ice cream by putting an ice cream maker inside of a salt and ice mixture. they would pack that mixture around the ice cream maker to freeze our homemade ice cream.

i never really learned why, i just knew the end result.

fast forward to my adult years, i was drinking beer with a friend that used regular salt from the store on ice in his cooler. it made the beer colder, but it didn’t help the ice last longer. at that moment, i was on my quest to find a solution to the age-old problem of keeping beer colder in coolers, for longer. 

after a bunch of trial and error, i developed a mixture of natural minerals and sodium chloride (table salt), which keeps items ice cold or frozen for much longer than when placed in ice alone.

Exten-Chill was born because i wanted a colder beverage.

since then, my co-founder, Mike Mosquito, and i have found we’ve just scratched the surface of the problems it can solve.

Exten-Chill can be used in any situation when keeping items on ice, colder for longer is essential. whether it’s a beach or boat day, a backyard bbq, or a hunting/fishing trip, it provides cost-effective solutions to individuals, businesses, non-profits, and governments who need to keep items on ice longer without needing to restock ice as often.”
